Friday Night

You will never guess what I did on Friday.  At my house after school Sophie came over to my house.

I picked up Sophie she had a present for me then went outside.  We played in the tree house it was so cool. She went home and it was sad when she went home. I stayed at her house for a little bit longer and we played lots of games. 

I felt crazy.  I think it was awesome.  Next I am going to Sophie’s house for a play date.

You will never guess what we did on Friday evening. It was a green theme. It was to raise money.

When I got home I got dressed. I chose my checked t-shirt. When I got to the disco I gave the ticket and they let me in. Then I paid for a glow head band. It was $1. After I bought glow sticks. I went to buy burger rings. Next I ate them. I bought a glow head band. I put it on. When I ate all my food I went on stage and danced. I bought an ice block then I ate it.

I will go to the next disco. Amazing, I felt like a cowboy.

You will never guess what I did on Saturday!

My cousin came to my house in the afternoon. My cousin played in my room. We had lots of fun. Next my cousin and me ate food. Later we drank juice. Last my cousin left so I said goodbye.

It was fabulous. I felt tired.

You will never guess what we did on Friday evening. We went to a disco in the hall. It was at 6:00pm until 7:30pm. 

I got a drink and danced at the same time.  I danced for a long time.  I heard “Let It Go”… and I enjoyed it – I danced really fast.  I got some Rashuns and they were 50c.  I did awesome dancing so I got to go on the stage.  I picked up rubbish and I heard Frozen songs.

What a massive night.  I felt like a disco king.  I will make sure I go to the disco next year.

You will never guess what we're doing on Friday.  At the hall, there was a disco.  

I got a lemonade drink and some chips.  The chips were burger rings.  After that, I had an ice block.  Later it was the last song.  The music stopped and I got a prize.  

It was awesome.  I felt like I was going to explode.  I'm definitely going next year.

You will never guess what I did on Friday. I went to the disco. The theme was ‘Green’. It was in the school hall. I went with my mum.

Loren helped squashing boxes. I helped Loren with putting the drinks away. Loren filled bottles up and I put the lids on. Loren put them in the fridge.

I had two ice blocks. I had the first one when I was helping mum.

It was hard work. I will go to the next disco. It was crazy! I felt like a disco queen.

You will never guess what we did on Friday. I went to a disco in the hall, when? Friday afternoon of course.

Before the end of school we chose the music and we chose Let It Go song. Next I went to the disco! And I wore my green top, I wore my green day outfit to the disco. I won a prize for best dancer. I decided to wear my green day outfit because the theme was green. I got a prize for best dancer. I won because I did the shuffle.

I wish I could go back to the disco because it was so good. I think it was the best. I felt like a queen.

 You will never guess what I did on Friday.

We went to the hall on Friday night.  Firstly I got ready. Nana helped me to get ready. After I went to the disco. And I got chips. And then I went on stage and I danced to” let it go”. I danced and danced. I talked to lots of my friends. I talked for a long time. It was great.

What a marvellous night. I felt like a disco queen. I will go to the next disco.

You will never guess what I did on Friday evening! I went to the school disco with my mum (she dropped me off) at the school hall.

At 5 o clock, I chose my dress to wear to the disco. At 6 o clock, I went to the disco, I went to buy some chips they were only 50 cents. In the hall I danced my best on stage. I danced to many different songs.

I felt crazy. I will go to the next fabulous disco.

Friday Night

You will never guess what I did last Friday. Instead of going to Arahoe school disco. I went to my auntie's house for a sleepover.

First I got dressed in my red flowery dress.  I met Sebastian at my auntie's house.  Me and my friend Sebastian watched 2 movies that night and then we went to sleep.  We shared and slept in my cousin's Michael's bed.  We found toys in the cupboard in Michael's room. We get to sleep with them.  We got our own blanket. The colour of my blanket was purple. I felt like a queen, it was awesome.

Next time I hope there will be another disco I can go to.

The Wizard Of Oz

You will never guess what l did last week. First, I went to the Aotea Center. There was a  show about The Wizard Of Oz. It was show week and I was part of the show. 

I sang and danced with the Lullaby League singers to the song “Ding-dong, the Witch is dead”. We laughed at the start of Munchken Land! We laughed because Glinda said, “Only bad witches are ugly!”  We smiled because Munchkens always smile and because “the Wicked Witch at last was dead!” 

I felt stage fright because I was in front of thousands of people. I thought I was doing magnificently well. I wonder if my parents would let me do the next one.

You will never guess what I did on Friday evening to Friday night. I went to the school disco. First I put my dress on. Next my mum took me to the disco.

 I got a drink, it was cherry. Next I got two glow sticks. One was yellow, the other was pink. Then I got three chips two of them were salt and vinegar, the other one was burger rings.

 I felt excellent. I think it was amazing. I am going to the next disco.

You will never guess what I did on Friday night. I went to the Disco in the hall. 

I went with my brother Harry. When I got there I got a drink, it was lemonade. I danced to the music, I did a cool dance. Then I saw Hazzie, she was helping her mum in the kitchen. Last of all I went up on stage with Nessa, then we came down it was awesome, so awesome. 

I felt like a disco queen because I was! I will make sure I go to the next disco too.

You will never guess what I did on Friday evening. I went to the disco at the hall. I went with my sister and mum.

Firstly, I went up stage and danced with Maddie. Secondly, I had a raspberry drink, it cost a dollar. Next, I bought a pink glow ear. Lastly, I bought a rainbow coloured ice-block.

It was crazy. I felt like a disco queen. I am going to the next disco.

"The hangi money collected is purely for cost covering.  We thought a hangi would be a nice way to celebrate Matariki and The Waka Huia Whanau Kapa Haka on the day.

Term 2 Week 7 homework:mini worm farm

Hello parents,

This term our theme has been all about worms – all the Room 15 children have loved this topic and are fully engaged into the two school worm farms we have. The next step is to incorporate all the children's knowledge and passionate about worm farming into their very own home. So we have a challenge ( easy!) for each family to make their very own worm farm using ice-cream containers, milk bottles or get creative and design and build your own farm. I have attached the link on how to make a worm farm using two plastic ice cream containers or an old bath. Please send photos in of your journey making the worm farm so they can feature on the class and school blog. The reason behind making a worm farm is to transition your child's knowledge into the home environment. Get creative and we look forward to seeing how your worm farm journey goes! Please send us the photos so we can share the photos with our class.

Arahoe Arbour Day

Hello parents,

As you will be aware Arahoes Arbour Day – Dig Deep or Donate is happening this THURSDAY at 9am. The event is taking place on the school field and will be approximately 30-45 minutes. All the classes are fortunate enough to be able to plant a native tree into the school field on Thursday morning. The event will go ahead if there is rain so please make sure your child is wearing weather appropriate clothing.

After the Arbour Day the PSG have organized delicious home baking and hot chocolates to be sold outside room 5 for $2. All the money raised will go towards the re-vamp of the school gardens.

Trip to Transfer Station

Trip to Transfer Station

We had a great visit to the Henderson Transfer Station.  We looked pretty cool in our hi-viz vests and hard hats

  

  We got to see where our household rubbish goes, how it is moved about and where it goes once it is sorted, squashed and baled!

 Did you know that at least 10 HUGE truckloads of rubbish go to landfill per day, just from the Waitakere district?

 We also learnt about what goes into our bins and how we can sort household rubbish so that less goes into landfill and we recycle, reuse and recycle more!    

Then we got to see a working worm farm and inspect the worms
